The beginning of a beautiful tomorrow...

Ever since I can remember I have enjoyed words. Writing them, reading them, seeing the effect of them on a big screen or even on the small screen. Every medium we have now a days is reflected in words one way or another. The comic book industries back bone is writing where the writer describes the images portrayed on the page. In movies although most recognition is given to Directors and Actors, the ones behind the camera writing the dialogue and the story itself are the most unrecognized of the bunch.

Many writers, poets, song-writers, have been able to use words to make beautiful masterpieces. Some unsung and some have gone on to gain high praises. Being an aspiring writer myself, I still indulge myself into many different genres of reading and wish to share those experiences.

I remember getting into reading at a young age. I remember the book fairs they use to hold at my elementary school and begging my mother for the next book in the long line of Goosebumps by R.L. Stine. As I have grown so has my genre of reading. As I would list them now my favorite authors are probably the late Michael Crichton, Duane Swiercynski, Gregg Hurwitz, and Jonathan Maberry. There are plenty more I can name but those are the most recently and Crichton will always be at the top of my list.

I have shelves full of books that I have yet to tackle and still get numerous comic books in the mail and at my local shop for my other love ( www.haveanerdgasm.com ). I figured I would start up this blog to keep up with my readings. Hopefully some who may stumble on it then I figure I can lead you to a book I may have or have not enjoyed.

Currently on the read list is....

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith

The Strain by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan
